Problem Statement
Drivers often struggle to track trips and manage expenses efficiently, while admins lack a clear way to assign and monitor trips in real time. Without a unified system, managing daily vehicle operations becomes confusing and unorganized. There’s a need for a simple app that helps drivers stay on track and gives admins better visibility and control.
Goal
To design a powerful yet easy-to-use platform that enables users to manage all aspects of their vehicle operations from a single app, enhancing productivity, reducing operational costs, and promoting vehicle safety.
Scope
Vehicify is designed to serve two main user groups: Drivers and Admins, each with tailored features to support their specific needs in vehicle operations.
Primary Research
To inform the design of Vehicify, we interviewed both stakeholders and drivers. Fleet managers and business owners emphasized the need for a centralized system to assign trips, track expenses, and monitor driver activity more efficiently. Drivers, on the other hand, expressed frustration with manual trip logging, unclear assignments, and managing expenses on the go. Both groups highlighted the need for a simple, mobile-friendly solution that streamlines vehicle operations and improves day-to-day efficiency.
Competitor Analysis
We analyzed apps like Power Fleet, Simply Fleet, and AUTOsist. While they offer powerful features, they often feel complex and are built mainly for large fleets.

Key Takeaways
During user research, we found that drivers prefer a clean, card-based interface, similar to social media apps they're familiar with. This layout makes information easier to digest at a glance, especially for older users who may not be comfortable with complex navigation or dense screens. A simplified, mobile-first experience that mirrors familiar interaction patterns was seen as essential for adoption and daily use.
Setting Flows
To ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience, the app flow was designed to keep tasks simple and accessible—guiding both drivers and admins through key actions with minimal friction.
Inital Concepts
Low-fidelity wireframes were created to map out the core structure and user flows, helping validate key features and ensure a smooth experience before moving into detailed design.
High Fidelty Designs
The high-fidelity designs focus on a clean, card-based UI for easy readability and quick actions—especially for drivers on the move. These screens reflect the finalized driver flow, while the admin version is still in development and not included here.
Handoff
Driver screens were finalized and handed off with all necessary specs and assets. Admin screens are not part of this phase and continue on the existing web platform.
Conclusion
Vehicify streamlines driver operations with a simple, efficient mobile experience. This phase lays the foundation for future growth, with admin features to follow. Through this project, I gained deeper insights into designing for real-world logistics, balancing usability with functionality in fast-paced environments.
